Conclusions Despite the above limitations, we indicate that the protective mechanism of CTs against OGD/R damage might exert via inhibiting neuron apoptosis and attenuating BBB disruption. Furthermore, we also clarified that CTs inhibited neuronal apoptosis possibly by blocking the activation of MAPK signaling pathways, and CTs alleviating BBB disruption may associated with the regulation of TJPs and MMP-9 in our experiment. We report a case of a young woman without cardiovascular risk factors who was admitted to our emergency department with listlessness and altered mental status. The Effects of DWI ‐Infarct Lesion Volume on DWI‐FLAIR Mismatch: Is There a Need for Size Stratification?
CONCLUSIONThe effects of stroke onset‐to‐scan time gap on DWI‐FLAIR mismatch are not the same for different DWI lesion volumes. At DWI lesion volumes >15 mL, the DWI‐FLAIR mismatch is highly specific for acute infarcts within IV thrombolytic therapy time, and can identify wake‐up stroke patients eligible for treatment.

Left Atrial Appendage Thrombus in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: Incidence, Clinical Impact, and the Role of Cardiac Computed Tomography
Conclusions The incidence of LAAT in patients considered for TAVR is high, and LAAT embolization may represent a clinically relevant cause of periprocedural stroke. Dual-phase CCT is an accurate modality for the diagnosis of LAAT. It may obviate the need for pre-procedural TEE. The presence of LAAT should be examined in all patients undergoing TAVR and strategies developed for those patients in whom LAAT is identified.
