Neurological complications in pediatric patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection: a systematic review of the literature
ConclusionsOur research highlights the large range of neurological manifestations and their presumed pathogenic pathways associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection in children. Nervous system involvement could be isolated, developing during COVID-19 or after its recovery, or arise in the context of a MIS-C. Diagnosing SARS-CoV-2 associated Guillain-Barre syndrome requires cerebro-spinal-fluid studies
We read with interest the article by Papri et al. about a 50yo male who was diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome (GBS) subtype acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP) according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) criteria upon the clinical presentation and nerve conduction studies (NCSs) 6  weeks after onset of an infection with SARS-CoV-2 (Papri et al., 2021). The patient received immunoglobulines and recovered slowly but almost completely over a period of 6 months (Papri et al., 2021).

Case Report: Early-Onset Guillain –Barre Syndrome Mimicking Stroke
Conclusions: In patients with an atypical presentation, the diagnosis of GBS is often delayed. With this case report, we intend to highlight the fact that some symptoms mimicking stroke may be a feature of GBS at onset; close observation and timely diagnosis are crucial for clinicians. Neuroimaging is a valuable diagnostic tool in differentiating stroke from GBS.
