Identification of m.3243A & gt;G mitochondrial DNA mutation in patients with cerebellar ataxia
CONCLUSION: Mitochondrial m.3243A>G mutation accounted for 0.9% (2/232) of genetically-undetermined cerebellar ataxia in the Han Chinese cohort in Taiwan. Functional outcome prediction of ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation accepting post-acute care training
ConclusionIn the current study, nearly half of the enrolled patients showed favorable functional recovery. The outcome assessments seem to correlate well with NIHSS and Barthel Index scores, rather than mRS. The anxiety/depression and usual activities domains of the EQ-5D results are associated with and have a great impact after the patients undertake the PAC rehabilitative strategy. Moreover, the variables obtained through carotid duplex and plaque index might also play a significant role in determining the patient's functional outcome.

IJERPH, Vol. 19, Pages 5118: Association of Postpartum Depression with Maternal Suicide: A Nationwide Population-Based Study
Conclusion: PPD was associated with a significantly higher rate of suicide and a shorter time to suicide after childbirth. Younger age, winter, and subclinical depression and anxiety positively predicted suicide in the study cohort. To prevent maternal suicide, clinicians should be observant of subclinical depression and anxiety symptoms among patients.

PPAR agonists for the treatment of cardiovascular disease in patients with Diabetes
Conclusions: According to this study, Pioglitazone treatment in type 2 diabetes patients and hypersensitive Ischemic stroke patients is linked to minor ischemic stroke which is recurrent in Asian people. Pioglitazone and the telmisartan treatment have an increasing pleiotropic effect related to the higher PPAR- gamma effects. Further research needs to be conducted with the PPAR mechanism ' s details to confirm the PPAR effect on Ischemic stroke treatment. [Ethiop. J.
