Mortality and Morbidity Effects of Long-Term Exposure to Low-Level PM < sub > 2.5 < /sub > , BC, NO < sub > 2 < /sub > , and O < sub > 3 < /sub > : An Analysis of European Cohorts in the ELAPSE Project
CONCLUSIONS: Long-term exposure to PM2.5, NO2, and BC was positively associated with natural-cause and cause-specific mortality in the pooled cohort and the administrative cohorts. Associations were found well below current limit values and guidelines for PM2.5 and NO2. Associations tended to be supralinear, with steeper slopes at low exposures with no indication of a threshold. Short ‐term outcomes in patients with lung cancer‐associated acute ischemic stroke
ConclusionIn this study, we have identified three independent risk factors associated with poor short-term outcomes in pLCAIS: higher NC, CRP, and D-dimer levels. These findings may be helpful for clinicians in identifying poor short-term outcomes patients.

Cancers, Vol. 14, Pages 2977: Association between Breast Cancer and Second Primary Lung Cancer among the Female Population in Taiwan: A Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study
Conclusion: Patients with breast cancer had a significantly higher risk of developing second primary lung cancer compared with patients without breast cancer, particularly in younger groups and in those without any comorbidities. The special association may be attributed to some potential risk factors such as genetic susceptibility and long-term exposure to PM2.5, and is supposed to increase public awareness. Further studies are necessary given the fact that inherited genotypes, different subtypes of breast cancer and lung cancer, and other unrecognized etiologies may play vital roles in both cancers&rsquo; development.

Sleep and physical activity in relation to all-cause, cardiovascular disease and cancer mortality risk
Conclusion
The detrimental associations of poor sleep with all-cause and cause-specific mortality risks are exacerbated by low PA, suggesting likely synergistic effects. Our study supports the need to target both behaviours in research and clinical practice.

Endovascular Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke After Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Pulmonary Lobectomy in Patients With Lung Cancer: A Report of Four Cases and Literature Review
Postoperative cerebral embolic stroke is a serious complication of pulmonary lobectomy, occurring in 1.1% of patients undergoing lobectomy through video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). The mechanism of this complication is thought to be embolic stroke caused by thrombus formed due to stagnation in the pulmonary vein stump after VATS lobectomy. There have been few reports demonstrating the utility of endovascular treatment (EVT) for cerebral embolic stroke after VATS lobectomy.

Impact of Comorbidities on Lung Cancer Screening Evaluation
CONCLUSION: Patient and procedure-level factors may alter the benefits of lung cancer screening. Data concerning individual risk factors and high-risk complications should therefore be incorporated into diagnostic algorithms to optimize clinical benefit and minimize harm.
