Conclusion: These assays are suitable for routine diagnostic. The UltraFast NextGenPCR is the fastest with average time (30mins), followed by Agilent (2 hrs) and MassArray (6hrs). Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to examine, measure and compare results from different assays for SARS detection, evaluate and diagnose accurately, as well as being able to plan, organize and recommend a diagnostic procedure for diagnostic laboratory. Key words: SARS-CoV-2, RNA extraction, RT-PCR, limit of detection, quantification cycle, COVID-19, in vitro diagnostic tests, Agilent, Massarray, Ultrafast. [20] From t...

GSE164834 Mitochondrial protease Lonp1 localizes to the nucleus in response to heat shock
Contributors : Marcello Pinti ; Lara Gibellini ; Rebecca Borella ; Mattia Forcato ; Giada ZaniniSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensWe analyzed the effects of Lonp1 silencing on the response to heat shock by analyzing the transriptomic profile of SW620 colon cancer cells undergoing heat shock. Briefly, Lonp1 has been silenced by using a specific siRNA, then cells have been kept at 42 °C for 1 hour, and left at 37°C for one hour.

Expression of sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor 2 is correlated with migration and invasion of human colon cancer cells: A preliminary clinical study
Oncol Lett. 2022 Jun 1;24(1):241. doi: 10.3892/ol.2022.13361. eCollection 2022 Jul.ABSTRACTSphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is a bioactive phospholipid that serves as a potent mediator of cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis by binding to S1P receptors (S1PRs). S1P signalling is involved in the pathogenesis of numerous types of disease, including cancer. To the best of our knowledge, however, little is known about the expression patterns of S1PRs and their role in human colorectal cancer (CRC) cell migration and invasion. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of S1P signalling in the metastasis...

GSE148795 Study of transcriptional effects of FOXS1 silencing and TGF-beta treatment in SNU-449 hepatocellular carcinoma cell line
Conclusions: FOXS1 is a novel TGFβ target and a key mediator of EMT. Its induction in cancer is associated with a poor prognosis. Thus, determining the exp ression of FOXS1 in advanced tumors in which the pro-metastatic arm of TGFβ is activated could help to identify patients who may benefit from targeted therapies using TGFβ inhibitors.

Hypoxia-Induced Upregulation of lncRNA ELFN1-AS1 Promotes Colon Cancer Growth and Metastasis Through Targeting TRIM14 via Sponging miR-191-5p
In conclusion, ELFN1-AS1 operates as a downstream target of hypoxia, promotes proliferation and invasion, and inhibits apoptosis through upregulating TRIM14 by sponging miR-191-5p in the colon cancer cells. Our results enrich our understanding of colon cancer progression and provide potential targets for clinical treatment of colon cancer.

Silencing of NILCO by Small Interfering RNA Effects MDR1 in Colon Cancer Cells
In conclusion, knockdown of NILCO genes is effective in regulating MDR1 expression, which is a hallmark in chemoresistance. The present study was supported by Eskisehir Osmangazi University Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit (grant no. 202011D11).PMID:35557372 | DOI:10.1096/fasebj.2022.36.S1.L7435

The Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) Plays an Important Role in Fetal Human Colon Cell Migration and Proliferation
CONCLUSION-: Our results indicate that CFTR plays an important role in FHC colon cell migration and EGFR signaling, which could lead to a better understanding as to why CF patients have increased risk for colon cancer.PMID:35556394 | DOI:10.1096/fasebj.2022.36.S1.R6139
