Prevalence and characteristics of hospital inpatients with reported fluoroquinolone allergy
Conclusion The prevalence of patients claiming a quinolone allergy in the study hospital was 2%. Common hypersensitivity reactions were reported. Data tended to support a possible association between intravenous contrast allergy and quinolone allergy.

ConclusionPharmacist‐provided penicillin allergy testing permitted optimized antibiotic treatment and expedited discharges. The provider confidence in the pharmacists provided the penicillin allergy testing is continuously increasing. Most commonly testing is requested by internal medicine physicians, however the popularity of the service among other specialties is increasing.

Impact of Penicillin Allergy on Empirical Carbapenem Use in Gram ‐Negative Bloodstream Infections: An Antimicrobial Stewardship Opportunity
ConclusionPenicillin allergy was a significant contributor to carbapenem use in community‐onset gram‐negative BSI. Factors Influencing the Appearance of Oxaliplatin-Induced Allergy.
In this study, we examined the relationship between the incidence of allergy and status of oxaliplatin administration, patient background, laboratory data, or combined drugs. The subjects were 144 patients with colorectal or gastric cancer in whom oxaliplatin administration was started and completed between 2010 and 2016. Polysaccharide isolated from Aloe vera gel suppresses ovalbumin-induced food allergy through inhibition of Th2 immunity in mice
In this study, we investigated the effects of processed Aloe vera gel (PAG) containing low molecular weight Aloe polysaccharide (AP) on ovalbumin (OVA)-induced food allergy in mice. Allergic symptoms, rectal temperature, and diarrhea were measured in OVA-induced food allergy mice. Other allergic parameters were also analyzed by RT-PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and other biochemical methods. As the results, PAG suppressed the decrease of body temperature, diarrhea, and allergic symptoms in OVA-induced food allergy mice. Drug Allergy Profile From a National Drug Allergy Registry
Conclusion: NSAIDs and antibiotics, mainly BLs, are the most commonly implicated in confirmed allergy. In both confirmed and not confirmed/nonallergic cases, BLs are the most frequently involved DHRs which are mainly immediate, and the most commonly presenting symptoms were urticaria, angioedema, and respiratory symptoms. Diagnosis was confirmed mainly by a positive clinical history and when indicated, by positive STs or a DPT.

The role of a clinical pharmacist in spurious Penicillin allergy: a narrative review
Conclusion Direct oral penicillin challenge reduces the adverse impact of spurious penicillin allergy. A pharmacist-led penicillin allergy de-labelling program needs further validation in prospective multi-centre studies.
