Factors associated with cognitive impairment at 3, 6, and 12 months after the first stroke among Lebanese survivors
ConclusionThe risk of PSCI among Lebanese stroke survivors was high especially in the acute phase, depending on various determinants. Health care providers are invited to implement an emergency rehabilitation program for an appropriate successful management of the risk factors in order to reduce stroke burden and to improve overall cognitive performance.

Visual impairment and multimorbidity in a representative sample of the Spanish population
Conclusions: Arthritis, stroke and the co-occurrence of various chronic physical diseases are associated with higher prevalence of visual impairment. Visual impairment is associated with higher prevalence of depression and poorer cognitive function results. There is a need to implement patient-centered care involving special visual assessment in these cases.

Sociodemographic, psychiatric and somatic risk factors for suicide: a Swedish national cohort study.
CONCLUSIONS: All psychiatric disorders, COPD, cancer, spine disorders, asthma, stroke, diabetes, ischemic heart disease and specific sociodemographic factors were independent risk factors for suicide during 8 years of follow-up. Effective prevention of suicide requires a multifaceted approach in both psychiatric and primary care settings, targeting mental disorders (especially depression), specific somatic disorders and indicators of social support. Impact of comorbid conditions on health care expenditure and work-related outcomes in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
CONCLUSION: Comorbid conditions in RA patients were associated with higher annual health care expenditure, lower likelihood of employment, higher rates of absenteeism and lower income. Despite its low prevalence, heart failure was associated with the highest incremental health care expenditure and the lowest likelihood of being employed compared to other common comorbid conditions. Prevalence of overweight and obesity and associated factors among women of childbearing age in Brazil.

Lifestyle factors and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing in UK Biobank: Implications for epidemiological research
