FM Fellowship: Addiction Medicine vs Behavioral Health(Primary Care Psychiatry)
Hi all ! I am currently an IMG PGY-1 in FM residency Old grad: YOG 2016, completed all 3 step exams now, got my step 3 score AFTER matching. Matched into FM on first try in Miami. I applied to both Psych & FM. I ranked Psych first, FM second. Ideally I'd like to be outpatient & see mainly psych patients long term. Does anyone have any knowledge on addiction and behavioral health fellowship for FM? I plan to continue to live in the city, not rural setting. 1. Would the scope of my... Nexletol use
How often do you all use Nexletol or Nexlizet in your practice? Is it just patients with familial hypercholesterolemia or do you use it with some regularity for patients who can't lower their LDL sufficiently with a statin? This is not a personal medical question, but I am trying to get an idea of how often these drugs are used in contemporary primary care settings (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Primary care loan forgiveness
Hi all, I've heard that there are programs or incentives that will pay for a portion of medical school if you pledge to go into primary care in a rural area. I have done a little looking and can't seem to find specifics on this. Does anyone have a pulse on these types of programs and if so could you link them? I'm assuming there is a strict criteria that is laid out to qualify for "rural" that would be posted with said program but you never know so does anyone know what would qualify for... UCSF SJV Prime Program?
I'm a CA resident with a definite interest/passion for rural primary care. I'm completing the UCSF Secondary, and it lists these options for programs. The SJV Prime seems like the right fit, but does anyone have any personal info or experience with the program? Thanks in advance! (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Interested?
Hi! I’m not a dentist, but instead a practice manager for a federally qualified health center that operates two primary care clinics, and one dental clinic. We took possession of the dental clinic which was formerly a free clinic a little more than a year ago. We are struggling to recruit dentists to this area and I am looking for some help or advice. We are in a very rural area, with a patient population that really needs dental services. I feel as though, for our area, our pay and benefits... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)
