I will be graduating in the next year with a cardiac fellowship.
Current offers on the table include an Academic position (350,000), a 2.5 year partnership position in a Tier 3 midsouth town (360K) with no buy-in, and a 2 year til equity (340K) position in a Tier 1 southern town.

Best negotiating method
Long time listener, first time caller.
I would like your input on which is the best manner to negotiate a job offer for the period of time prior to partnership.
1) Percent of net collections
2) Percent of total collections
3) RVU

Private practice pay structure
How does the pay structure of a private practice usually work?
A job I recently interviewed at said it’s 1099, salary is 425 and stays there. They stated that is how the group is structured and there’s no real partnership, or any increase in salary or bonus in the future.
