Challenge to Dr Russo: Economics of Hospital Employment vs Private Practice for New Grads/Transitioning Physicians

Let me go into the economics of HOPD employment vs "Private Practice" now from a purely compensation perspective in many cases:
1) HOPD starts physician at 450-500K for first 2-3 years. Private Practice has "3 year partnership" starting the physician at 250-300K or so per year. (Gradient: 500k-275K *3= 675K). So you are essentially starting 700K in the red just signing with the private practice.
Good luck partnering in an increasingly costly "mill" practice that is losing docs...

FYI. Heard yesterday that USAP is exiting a number of Centura Health and HCA hospital contracts in Denver pending a USAP Colorado partner vote. Can’t recruit enough to cover the losses of those leaving USAP and the finances are upside down. Worst Jobs-Biggest Rip Offs
We tend to mention good jobs-but with inflation, housing, interest rates, debt-what are the biggest rip off/scheme jobs out there?
I know USAP Austin/Central was mentioned as having a very low salary, long partnership, and stock purchase in a city with a crazy high cost of living.
I saw NAPA in Virginia was bad for similar reasons

Financial planning for partnership
I just received an unsolicited job offer to become a full equity owner in a practice after 2 years (with no buy in!) I will also have a pension, paid leave, a business account and free life insurance. Sounds like I’ll be set for life. I can’t believe this opportunity fell into my lap. How does ownership / partnership track work?
I'm hearing about job opportunities, and starting to dip my toe in the recruiting process. I don't understand what it means when I hear "two years at XXX, and then opportunity to become partner."
My understanding is I get a share of the profit generated each year. Is this like stocks, where I would have to buy shares? Does the amount I work affect the dividend at the end of the year? i.e can I go 0.8 and still get it, what happens if I leave the position?

Does anyone on here get paid directly to an LLC? Are you a partner at your practice?
Have any of you brought this up to your employer who has refused partnership?
It seems like a good alternative for someone who is happy with their current role/compensation but wants to obtain tax deductions.
Take your desired salary, add your malpractice, reimbursements for association dues/licensing fees and get that paid to an LLC by your employer as an independent contractor.
