ConclusionDN seemed to give better results in amputees but there were confusing factors related to associated lesions. In other situations, the non-inferiority of PN was demonstrated. PN could be of interest for treating neuromas of superficial sensory nerves, for avoiding direct revision of a well-fitted stump and in conjunction with TMR. ConclusionFor better-quality specimens for neurosurgical education and training, formalin preservation within ≤72 h of death was preferable, as was injection with colored latex. Formalin-flushed specimens more closely resembled live brain parenchyma. Perioperative management and outcomes for posterior spinal fusion in patients with Friedreich ataxia: A single-center, retrospective study
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with Friedreich ataxia are at high risk for perioperative complications when undergoing posterior spinal fusion and coordinated multidisciplinary care is required at each stage.
