The role of stereotactic radiosurgery in the multidisciplinary management of pituitary metastases
ConclusionGKRS is an effective treatment modality for the multidisciplinary management of patients with pituitary metastases. This minimally-invasive strategy is associated with optimal tumor control rate and low risk to adjacent optic  nerves or neurovascular structures. (Source: Pituitary)

Historical and future trends in emergency pituitary referrals: a machine learning analysis
ConclusionThis work is the first to employ large-scale data and machine learning to describe and predict acute pituitary referral volumes, estimate future service demands, explore  the impact of system stressors (e.g. COVID pandemic), and highlight areas for service improvement. (Source: Pituitary)

Levoketoconazole in the treatment of patients with endogenous Cushing ’s syndrome: a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized withdrawal study (LOGICS)
ConclusionsLevoketoconazole reversibly normalized urinary cortisol in patients with Cushing ’s syndrome. No new risks of levoketoconazole treatment were identified. (Source: Pituitary)

Characterization of sporadic somatotropinomas with high GIP receptor expression
ConclusionWe described, for the first time, thatGIPR + andgsp mutations are not mutually exclusive, butgsp mutations are less common inGIPR + tumors.GIPR + andGIPR  −  tumors have similar clinical, biochemical, radiological, therapeutic, and pathological features, with the exception of a high frequency of densely granulated adenomas among GIPR + tumors. Predicting hypogonadotropic hypogonadism persistence in male macroprolactinoma
ConclusionIn our cohort of men with macroprolactinoma that reached prolactin normalization with cabergoline treatment, 21% had HH persistence. Pituitary hormone deficiency, visual field defects, and low baseline testosterone levels were independently associated with HH persistence. 91% of men achieved eugonadism within the first year following prolactin normalization. These findings may support informed clinical decision-making regarding the initiation of testosterone replacement in men with macroprolactinomas. (Source: Pituitary)
