Association Study of Serotonin 3 Receptor Subunit Gene Variants in Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain
Conclusion: Our preliminary findings suggest that these receptors may not play a major role in predicting AIWG.Neuropsychobiology 2016;74:169-175 (Source: Neuropsychobiology)

Genes Involved in Neurodevelopment, Neuroplasticity, and Bipolar Disorder: CACNA1C, CHRNA1, and MAPK1
Discussion: Our data suggest a possible role of these 3 genes in BPD. Alterations of 1 or more common brain pathways (e.g., neurodevelopment and neuroplasticity, calcium signaling) may explain the obtained results.Neuropsychobiology 2016;74:159-168 (Source: Neuropsychobiology)

Differential Allelic Expression of HTR1B in Suicide Victims: Genetic and Epigenetic Effect of the Cis-Acting Variants
Conclusions: We found several promoter variants in LD that may potentially influence the allelic imbalance in the C861G variant. However, no evidence of allelic imbalance nor parent-of-origin effects of the C861G variant was observed in suicidal behavior. Further research is required to assess this marker in larger cohorts.Neuropsychobiology 2016;74:144-149 (Source: Neuropsychobiology)
