Potential new therapeutic targets: Association of microRNA with atherosclerotic plaque stability
Int J Immunopathol Pharmacol. 2023 Jan-Dec;37:3946320231185657. doi: 10.1177/03946320231185657.ABSTRACTCardiovascular disease represents a major threat to human health with vascular atherosclerosis contributing significantly to its cause, particularly due to the ease of rupture of atherosclerotic plaques. The stability of atherosclerotic plaques is influenced by a variety of factors, including intraplaque neovascularization, the inflammatory response, smooth muscle cells and macrophages, and core lipid volumes. Thus, the investigation of factors affecting the stability of atherosclerotic plaques is of great significance fo...

A high pan-immune-inflammation value before chemoradiotherapy indicates poor outcomes in patients with small-cell lung cancer
Conclusion: The findings of this retrospective study indicate that the pretreatment PIV is a reliable and independent prognostic biomarker for patients with LS-SCLC who were treated with C-CRT and PCI.PMID:37404137 | PMC:PMC10331221 | DOI:10.1177/03946320231187759 (Source: International Journal of Immunopathology and Pharmacology)

Comprehensive analysis of ferroptosis-related hub gene signatures as a potential pathogenesis and therapeutic target for systemic sclerosis: A bioinformatics analysis
Conclusions: Necroptosis and ferroptosis were upregulated in patients with SSc and involved in modulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. IL-6 and CYBB are key ferroptosis-related genes in SSc. Ferroptosis and related genes might be promising targets in the treatment of SSc.PMID:37403234 | PMC:PMC10331081 | DOI:10.1177/03946320231187783 (Source: International Journal of Immunopathology and Pharmacology)
