Platelet-derived microvesicles induce intracellular calcium mobilization in human platelets
Cell Biol Int. 2023 Aug 31. doi: 10.1002/cbin.12084. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTPlatelet-derived microvesicles (PMVs) represent a significant proportion of microvesicles in circulation and have been linked to various pathophysiological complications. Recent research suggests that PMVs carry significant amounts of cargo that can affect cellular functions by influencing calcium oscillations in target cells. As calcium is involved in multiple cellular processes, including hemostasis and thrombosis, this study aimed to investigate the impact of PMVs on platelet calcium mobilization. The study found that PMVs increase platel...

Exploring biomarkers for autophagy-mediated macrophage pyroptosis in atherosclerosis
This study tried to investigate the macrophage autophagy-related pyroptosis in atherosclerosis. The gene expression omnibus (GEO) dataset of GSE100927 was used for differentially expressed genes (DEG) screening, gene ontology (GO) and kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG), CIBERSORT, weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA), receiver operating characteristic (ROC), gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA), and correlation analysis, and GSE159677 was used for single-cell analysis, all conducted in R software. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) was constructed in STRING and analyzed in Cytoscape. Transcription factor...

Decoding the multifaceted signatures and transcriptomic characteristics of stem cells derived from apical papilla and dental pulp of human supernumerary teeth
In this study, we found that SCAP-Ss and DPSCs showed indistinctive signatures in morphology and immunophenotypes, whereas with diversity in cell vitality and multi-lineage differentiation as well as gene expression profiling and differentially expressed genes-associated gene ontology and signaling pathways. Collectively, our data indicated the diversity of the multifaceted signatures of human supernumerary teeth-derived stem cells both at the cellular and molecular levels, which also supplied new references for SCAP-Ss serving as splendid alternative stem cell sources for regenerative medicine purposes.PMID:37641425 | DOI...
