Association between postpartum depression and postpartum hemorrhage: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsWomen with PPH must be closely monitored because they have a higher risk of PPD than women without PPH. Early recognition and management of these patients will improve treatment outcomes, maternal health, and newborn development. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Ethnic background as a risk factor for permanent brachial plexus birth injury: A population ‐based study
ConclusionsShoulder dystocia and assisted delivery are the most important risk factors for a permanent brachial plexus birth injury. Black race was associated with a higher rate and a more severe permanent brachial plexus birth injury. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

The effects of intravenous hydration regimens in nulliparous women undergoing induction of labor: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsOur review found no significant improvements for nulliparous women who received higher intravenous fluid volumes when undergoing induction of labor and were not routinely fasted. However, data are limited, and further research is needed. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, neonatal outcomes and offspring developmental delay in Japan: The Tohoku Medical Megabank Project Birth and Three ‐Generation Cohort Study
ConclusionsExposure to HDP during fetal life is associated with offspring developmental delay. This association is partly mediated by neonatal outcomes. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Diet quality and blood pressure among pregnant women with overweight or obesity: A secondary analysis of two randomized controlled trials
ConclusionsWhile diet remains an important factor in maternal health and wellbeing, we did not find a relationship between diet quality as measured by AHEI-P and blood pressure among pregnant women with BMI ≥25 kg/m2. High BMI remains a risk factor for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Maternal gestational hypertension, smoking and pre ‐eclampsia are associated with metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease in overweight offspring
ConclusionsMaternal smoking, gestational hypertension and pre-eclampsia were associated with MAFLD among overweight or obese children. Further prospective studies are needed to verify causal relationships. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Long ‐term outcomes of children after prenatal exposure to maternal cancer and its treatment
We describe the short and long-term child outcomes after prenatal exposure to maternal cancer(treatment) and the gaps of knowledge wich need to be elucidated in future research. AbstractThe incidence of antenatal cancer is increasing, prompting a medical-ethical evaluation. The International Network on Cancer, Infertility, and Pregnancy (INCIP) was established to study cancer treatment safety during pregnancy and its impact on maternal and child health. Pivotal research has led to a paradigm shift in clinical management, demonstrating the feasibility and safety of most antenatal oncological treatments. Short-term outcomes ...

Perinatal outcomes following fetoscopic laser surgery for early twin ‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome: Systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionsIn early TTTS treated with FLS, outcomes were comparable between those treated at<18  weeks compared with ≥18 weeks except for GA at delivery, which was 3 weeks earlier. In the subset treated at<16  weeks vs 16–18 weeks, the procedure was feasible without an increased risk of very early preterm birth or perinatal mortality. Prevalence of adenomyosis features in women scheduled for assisted reproductive treatment, using the Morphological Uterus Sonographic Assessment group definitions
ConclusionsWe found than one in 10 women scheduled for ART had direct features of adenomyosis at ultrasound examination. The present study suggests that the use of 3D TVUS is an important complement to 2D in the diagnostics of adenomyosis. Our results may further improve the counseling of women scheduled for ART and enables future studies on the impact of different features of adenomyosis on subfertility, ART results and obstetric outcomes. Incidence of shoulder dystocia and risk factors for recurrence in the subsequent pregnancy —A historical register‐based cohort study
ConclusionsThe incidence of shoulder dystocia among nulliparous women with vaginal delivery was 1.0% with a 7.2% risk of recurrence in a population where about 50% had a subsequent birth and of these 78% had subsequent vaginal delivery. Important risk factors for recurrence were low maternal height, increase of birthweight ≥250 g from index to subsequent delivery and operative vaginal delivery. Impact of cannula diameter on pregnancy outcomes after minimally invasive fetal laser surgery in the treatment of twin ‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionsThis systematic review confirmed PPROM as a frequent complication of fetal laser surgery, with a mean PPROM rate of 22.9%. A larger cannula diameter relates to a significant higher PPROM risk for PPROM before 34  weeks gestation. Hence, the ideal balance between optimal visualization requiring larger port diameters and shorter operation time and more complete procedures that benefit from larger diameters is crucial to reduce iatrogenic PPROM rates.
