Self ‐reported distress and problems after treatment for gynecological cancer – Correlation between a short screening tool and longer measures of anxiety/depression and health‐related quality of life
ConclusionsThe NCCN DTPL can be used as a screening measure for self-reported distress and problems after treatment for gynecological cancer. A score of ≥5 on DT may indicate high level of anxiety/depression as measured by HADS. The tool may help identify patients in need of referral to supportive care and rehabilitation facilities. Longitudinal MRI in the context of in utero surgery for open spina bifida: A descriptive study
ConclusionsThere was timely access to supervised MRI for OSB fetal surgery assessment. However, the provision of images of the fetal brain and spine in sufficient orthogonal planes, which are required for determining eligibility and to determine the reversal of hindbrain herniation after fetal surgery, were less frequently acquired. Our evidence suggests the need for specific guidance in relation to fetal MRI for OSB. We propose an example guidance for MRI acquisition and reporting. Fear of childbirth after induced abortion in primiparous women: Population ‐based register study from Finland
ConclusionsA history of IA is associated with increased odds for FOC in subsequent pregnancy. However, the associations of FOC with a history of psychiatric diagnosis and elevated maternal age (especially ≥40 years old) are more pronounced. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Automated quantitative evaluation of fetal atrioventricular annular plane systolic excursion before and after intrauterine blood transfusion in pregnancies affected by red blood cell alloimmunization
ConclusionsThis study suggests that atrioventricular plane displacement, when determined using automated analysis software, may represent a quantitative parameter, describing fetal myocardial function and adaptation before and after IUT. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Breast cancer during pregnancy —The oncologist's point of view
AbstractBreast cancer is the most common malignancy diagnosed during or directly after pregnancy. Differences in pathogenesis and prognosis identify two distinct patient groups, those with breast cancer during pregnancy and those with postpartum breast cancer which, for reasons not completely understood, is associated with worse outcomes. Compared with breast cancer in the non-pregnant patient, several limitations in terms of both local and systemic therapy are applied to limit fetal harm. Treatment is nevertheless delivered with curative intent, therefore avoiding harmful delays in therapy initiation, unnecessary therapy ...

Pregnancy outcomes following routine early provision of intrauterine device after first ‐trimester induced abortion—A secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial with a 5‐year follow up
ConclusionsRoutine provision of IUD as part of abortion care did not reduce the rates of delivery or miscarriage during the 5-year follow up. The rates of all pregnancies and the need of subsequent induced abortion were reduced by IUD provision during the first 2  yFU. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound findings help to guide the clinical management of placenta accreta spectrum cases
ConclusionsCesarean hysterectomy is associated with the PAS signs of placental bulge and Grade 2 and 3 intracervical hypervascularity. OSCS is associated with intracervical hypervascularity Grade 1 on transvaginal ultrasound. Prospective validation is required to formulate predictors for PAS management. Risk of venous thromboembolism in pregnant patients with active malignancy: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsPregnancy with active malignancy confers a significant increased risk for VTE compared with pregnancy alone. Given this finding, prophylactic anticoagulation during pregnancy and postpartum could be considered in this patient population. Data are underpowered to make firm recommendations per cancer type.
