Prevalence of adenomyosis features in women scheduled for assisted reproductive treatment, using the Morphological Uterus Sonographic Assessment group definitions
ConclusionsWe found than one in 10 women scheduled for ART had direct features of adenomyosis at ultrasound examination. The present study suggests that the use of 3D TVUS is an important complement to 2D in the diagnostics of adenomyosis. Our results may further improve the counseling of women scheduled for ART and enables future studies on the impact of different features of adenomyosis on subfertility, ART results and obstetric outcomes. Incidence of shoulder dystocia and risk factors for recurrence in the subsequent pregnancy —A historical register‐based cohort study
ConclusionsThe incidence of shoulder dystocia among nulliparous women with vaginal delivery was 1.0% with a 7.2% risk of recurrence in a population where about 50% had a subsequent birth and of these 78% had subsequent vaginal delivery. Important risk factors for recurrence were low maternal height, increase of birthweight ≥250 g from index to subsequent delivery and operative vaginal delivery. Impact of cannula diameter on pregnancy outcomes after minimally invasive fetal laser surgery in the treatment of twin ‐to‐twin transfusion syndrome: A systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionsThis systematic review confirmed PPROM as a frequent complication of fetal laser surgery, with a mean PPROM rate of 22.9%. A larger cannula diameter relates to a significant higher PPROM risk for PPROM before 34  weeks gestation. Hence, the ideal balance between optimal visualization requiring larger port diameters and shorter operation time and more complete procedures that benefit from larger diameters is crucial to reduce iatrogenic PPROM rates. Differentiated vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia long ‐term follow up and prognostic factors: An analysis of a large historical cohort
ConclusionsPatients with dVIN have a high risk of developing both primary and recurring VSCC. Early recognition, long-term follow up, and compliant ultrapotent topical corticosteroid treatment are recommended. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Oncological and reproductive outcomes of endometrial atypical hyperplasia and endometrial cancer patients undergoing conservative therapy with hysteroscopic resection: A systematic review and meta ‐analysis
ConclusionsHysteroscopic resection followed by progestins appears to be a promising choice for fertility-sparing treatment in young patients with AH and EEC, with effective and safe responses. The live birth rate remains to be improved by providing medical guidance and encouragement. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Procedure ‐specific simulation for vaginal surgery training: A randomized controlled trial
ConclusionsCompared to usual training, procedure-specific didactic and low fidelity simulation modules for vaginal surgery resulted in significant improvements in operative performance and several other skill parameters. (Source: Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica)

Biomarkers associated with cardiovascular disease in women with spontaneous preterm birth: A case –control study
ConclusionsCompared with women without preterm birth, those with spontaneous preterm birth had slightly higher concentrations of fibrinogen, both at mid-pregnancy and a decade after pregnancy. Additionally, we found slightly higher concentration of triglycerides at follow up in women with previous spontaneous preterm birth. The relevance of this finding is uncertain but might indicate potential pathophysiological mechanisms in common between spontaneous preterm birth and cardiovascular disease. Early suppression policies protected pregnant women from COVID ‐19 in 2020: A population‐based surveillance from the Nordic countries
ConclusionsThere was a clear variation in pregnant women's risk of COVID-19 admission across countries with similar healthcare systems but different public health interventions to limit viral transmission. The meta-analysis indicates that early suppression policies protected pregnant women from severe COVID-19 disease prior to the availability of individual protection with vaccines.
