Retaking good CBSE score for better score
I got a 78 EPC first time I took the exam. I know its competitive, but honestly as this year winds down Im finding myself with a lot of free time, and I know I left some points on the table. Wondering if a retake would be worth it just to try. Wondering if anyone has done something similar, and how it went for them. I'm hoping I can take studying a bit easier this time, just do a 2nd pass of Uworld and do the NBMEs again, might that be enough to hit the 80s? If someone had success doing... Are 3 LORs from OMFS necessary for a complete application?
My school only has 1 OMFS on staff. I have him along with another OMFS that will for sure write me decent letters. I have one more surgeon that might write me an okay letter but I wouldn’t be surprised if he said no when I go to ask. Worst case scenario will programs still take me seriously with only 2 OMFS letters and my research mentor that knows me well? My app is competitive otherwise. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

OMFS - how many applications to send in?
As the title says. How many applications should we aim to send out? I would assume it depends on CBSE score. Based on old scale, if one's CBSE score was between 80-85 or 85-90, how many applications would you send in? (Source: Student Doctor Network)

ENDO residency
I am currently a D3 student and I would like to eventually specialize in ENDO. As far as numbers are concerned I have done pretty well in dental school my class rank is 3rd my cumulative GPA is about a 3.9 and didactic GPA is 4.0. What do you all think is the best move as far as first year out of school? (apply directly to ENDO programs, or do a GPR/AEGD/ straight to work as a general dentist and then apply after that?) To be completely honest we do a very limited amount of endo here at my... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

OMS joining military post-residency?
I am wondering how operationally thing would work joining military post residency. I know of several guys who joined military during OMS residency and they received stipends with future contracts to work with the military after for a number of years towards repayment of their dental school loans. However, let's say you've completed residency and been out several years. You've tried various gigs in the private sector and stumbled upon the Army looking for an OMS in the AAOMS job listings...
