HPSP - Signing Accession Bonus Papers
I am in the process of applying for HPSP and have a question about signing the accession bonus papers. My problem is that I am aiming to get into the 3 year program at UOP and don't want to sign the papers to extend my payback to 4 years over $20k. I asked my recruiter about this and she said that I can sign the papers then deny the bonus if I end up getting accepted to a 3 year program. Is this true or am I fully committed to a 4 year program if the signed accession bonus paper are sent to...

Orthodontist Jobs
Just matched into ortho- very excited! I was wondering how easy it is to find a job post-residency! Not looking to open my own practice, at least right away.
Can anyone also give me insight into how Iād look for a job- do you find one on Indeed or are positions by word of mouth? What does your typical work week look like, is there a base pay?
Hoping to practice in NY. Thank you š (Source: Student Doctor Network)

VA Pay schedule
Hello!
I am considering applying for a GPR at a VA and then working there after. I am confused on their pay schedule.
Online I can find two documents listing the pay schedule. One is the allowable range for dentist pay https://www.va.gov/OHRM/Pay/2023/PhysicianDentist/AnnualPayRanges_20230101.pdf
Another is the locality pay? I am not sure if this is the exact terminology.

Law courses / education for dentistry
Hi everyone,
I'm a current dental student and was advised by a dentist to look into taking some law courses before entering private practice. I've done some research online and have mostly found masters programs for healthcare practitioners. Does anyone know of any cheaper options, maybe even good CE courses I can take? I've been out of luck finding any free / cheap options on websites, such as LinkedIn / Coursera. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Prosthodontic Residency Programs with Large Surgical Education.
Which Pros programs out there have a large education into surgery?
Some Prosth programs are strictly non-surgical. I am looking for the complete opposite of that. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

OMFS - Anyone worked for ClearChoice?
Hi all,
Anyone have any experience or feedback on ClearChoice? I signed a contract with a private practice group with track to partnership in 2 years, very flexible in terms of scope, whatever you want to do. Recently heard about ClearChoice from a friend, they advertise working 4 mornings a week with twice as much pay compared to private practice (4.5 days).
Please shed some lights on this if you can. If it's such an amazing deal, why aren't people taking on such jobs?
Thank you. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Is it below the standard of care to leave amalgam or composite on a crown margin?
If a patient cannot afford crown lengthening surgery and he has deep subgingival amalgam fillings mesially and distally, then is it ok to leave them on the crown margin? A crown that fits is obviously preferable than a crown that doesn't fit and there's a higher likelihood of a poorly prepped margin and a poorly captured margin if the margin is very deep. In addition, a crown margin that's too deep could violate the biologic width and cause the patient problems afterwards. I know it's not...
