Fluoro Procedures Resource
Hi all,
Just started pain fellowship on 7/1. I've been using the Furman Atlas of Image Guided Spinal Procedures and it's great but was wondering if there are any good websites, apps, or videos you guys recommend in addition to the Atlas.
Is there anything like NYSORA or BlockJocks for chronic pain procedures, especially fluoro guided procedures?

Tizanadine vs. Clonidine, Guanfacine
I'm a psychiatry resident with many patients who have many psychiatric and non-psychiatric symptoms which would benefit from treatment with an alpha-2 agonist. For example, TBI from MVA, so has issues with impulsivity, anger/aggression, anxiety, and PTSD but also chronic pain, especially back pain. In an effort to reduce polypharmacy and increase efficacy I am considering starting/changing-to alpha-2 agonists

"Functional illnesses." What is your approach?
By "functional" illness, I'm referring to and lumping together a bunch of diagnoses: POTS, fibromyalgia, mast cell activation, chronic fatigue, multiple drug intolerances, EDS III, chronic itch, chronic pain, etc. (maybe IBS and interstitial cystitis and others I didn't list). Some of these might exist as a true organic disease in some patients but most of the time it's code talk for underlying psych issues. We have these patients in all of our varying specialties. Breast reduction for back pain?

Some of my patients with chronic upper back pain request referrals for breast reductions in hope of improving their pain. Weird ortho case
One of the total joint guys I work closely with asked my opinion on a weird case he has. He specifically wanted to know if I could use botox.
The case is a woman with multiple back surgeries and bilateral hip replacements with chronic dislocations. He has revised left hip and she did well. Now months later he revised the right hip (a few days ago) and she has since developed significant gastroc spasm and pain in RLE . She is now admitted in hospital
