Incidental Intrahepatic Hepatocellular Cholangiocarcinoma Detected on 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT
A 69-year-old man with intermediate-risk prostate cancer and a mildly elevated prostate-specific antigen of 8.2 μg/L was referred for 68Ga–prostate-specific membrane antigen (68Ga-PSMA) PET/CT for primary staging. An incidental intensely 68Ga-PSMA–avid hepatic focus was seen on PSMA PET and subsequent FDG PET/CT and MRI cholangiogram. This was confirmed to be hepatocellular cholangiocarcinoma on subsequent histopathological examination. (Source: Clinical Nuclear Medicine)

Systematic review of the role of indocyanine green near-infrared fluorescence in safe laparoscopic cholecystectomy (Review)
Exp Ther Med. 2022 Feb;23(2):187. doi: 10.3892/etm.2021.11110. Epub 2021 Dec 30.ABSTRACTWith the widespread introduction of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, the incidence of iatrogenic main bile duct lesions has significantly increased, with incidences ranging from 0.2 to 1.5% according to current studies. Although there are studies regarding the use of indocyanine green (ICG) for improved visualization of the biliary anatomy, there is no consensus on the dose, timing and optimal mode of administration, or the indications in which ICG provides a real benefit through increased safety in laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC). A sys...

IgG4-Related Sclerosing Cholangitis: Rarely Diagnosed, but not a Rare Disease
Can J Gastroenterol Hepatol. 2021 Dec 21;2021:1959832. doi: 10.1155/2021/1959832. eCollection 2021.ABSTRACTIgG4-related sclerosing cholangitis, a biliary manifestation of an IgG4-related disease, belongs to the spectrum of sclerosing cholangiopathies which result in biliary stenosis. It presents with signs of cholestasis and during differential diagnosis it should be distinguished from cholangiocarcinoma or from other forms of sclerosing cholangitis (primary and secondary sclerosing cholangitis). Despite increasing information and recently established diagnostic criteria, IgG4-related sclerosing cholangitis remains underdi...
