Common bile duct pressure after open intraoperative instrumentation in patients with uncomplicated choledocholithiasis
CONCLUSIONS: CBDP decreases between 2nd and 3rd post-operative weeks. The use of choledochomanometry is useful in clinical scenarios with no access to imaging or interventionism facilities as in remote populations or rural locations.PMID:36480750 | DOI:10.24875/CIRU.21000808 (Source: Cirugia y Cirujanos)

Evaluation of 30-day morbidity and mortality of laparoscopic cholecystectomy: a multicenter prospective observational Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (IAGES) Study
ConclusionLC has 30-day morbidity of 11.1%, 30-day mortality of 0.2%, conversion to open rate of 1.4%, and bile duct injury rate of 0.3% in India. (Source: Surgical Endoscopy)

Multicentric validation of EndoDigest: a computer vision platform for video documentation of the critical view of safety in laparoscopic cholecystectomy
ConclusionsEndoDigest was robust enough to reliably locate the time of the cystic duct division and efficiently video document CVS despite the highly variable workflows. Training specifically on data from each center could improve results; however, this multicentric validation shows the potential for clinical translation of this surgical data science tool to efficiently document surgical safety. The second & #39;gallbladder operation & #39;
Conclusion: Gallstones in the residual GB are associated with more complications than conventional gallstones. The diagnosis requires a high level of suspicion. MRCP is more accurate in establishing the diagnosis and identifying the associated complications, even if the diagnosis is made on USG in most patients. A pre-operative roadmap is provided by the MRCP. For patients with residual GB, laparoscopic completion cholecystectomy is a feasible and safe option. (Source: Journal of Minimal Access Surgery)

An artificial intelligence difficulty scoring system for stone removal during ERCP: a prospective validation
Conclusion The CAD system effectively assessed and classified the degree of technical difficulty in endoscopic stone extraction during ERCP. In addition, it automatically provided a quantitative evaluation of CBD and stones, which in turn could help endoscopists to apply suitable procedures and interventional methods to minimize the possible risks associated with endoscopic stone removal. Situations That Preclude Routine Intraoperative Cholangiography
Am Surg. 2022 Jun 12:31348221091950. doi: 10.1177/00031348221091950. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTIntraoperative cholangiogram (IOC) is a useful tool for surgeons to assess anatomy of the biliary tree and diagnose biliary pathology. Many surgeons utilize cholangiography in most cases in hopes of preventing ductal injuries and are deemed routine cholangiographers. There is little data on the success rate and reasons why IOC is not performed. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of routine cholangiography and to determine reasons why cholangiography was not performed. 693 cholecystectomies were analyzed. Intrao...
