Corrigendum to “Development of a Medical Complexity Score for Pediatric Aerodigestive Patients” Journal of Pediatrics; 261:113549
In the article “Development of a Medical Complexity Score for Aerodigestive Patients” (J Pediatr 2023;261:113549), Table IV erroneously included raw data referring to a multivariable regression of qualitative improvement in oral diet (as opposed to quantitative improvement in the Functional Oral Intake Scale, or FOIS) vs individual complexity score. All data discussed in the text of the article referred to the improvement in FOIS. The corrected table with corresponding data is below: (Source: The Journal of Pediatrics)

Kv2 channels contribute to neuronal activity within the vagal afferent-nTS reflex arc
Am J Physiol Cell Physiol. 2023 Nov 20. doi: 10.1152/ajpcell.00366.2023. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTDiversity in the functional expression of ion channels contributes to the unique patterns of activity generated in visceral sensory A-type myelinated neurons versus C-type unmyelinated neurons in response to their natural stimuli. In the present study, Kv2 channels were identified as underlying a previously uncharacterized delayed rectifying potassium current expressed in both A- and C- type nodose ganglion neurons. Kv2.1 and 2.2 appear confined to the soma and initial segment of these sensory neurons, however, neither wa...

Clinical Profile and Prognostic Markers of Acute on Chronic Liver Failure (ACLF): A Single-center Experience from East India
CONCLUSIONS: Alcohol and sepsis remain the most common causes of acute insult. Cf DNA is a better predictor of 28-day mortality, whereas CLIF-C ACLF is more accurate to predict 90-day mortality.PMID:37975045 | PMC:PMC10643518 | DOI:10.1016/j.jceh.2023.06.010 (Source: Clinical Lung Cancer)

Projection-defined median raphe Pet < sup > + < /sup > subpopulations are diversely implicated in seizure
Neurobiol Dis. 2023 Nov 15:106358. doi: 10.1016/j.nbd.2023.106358. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTThe raphe nuclei, the primary resource of forebrain 5-HT, play an important but heterogeneous role in regulating subcortical excitabilities. Fundamental circuit organizations of different median raphe (MR) subsystems are far from completely understood. In the present study, using cell-specific viral tracing, Ca2+ fiber photometry and epilepsy model, we map out the forebrain efferent and afferent of different MR Pet+ subpopulations and their divergent roles in epilepsy. We found that PetMR neurons send both collateral and parall...
