Percutaneous coronary intervention facilities in Nigeria
CONCLUSION: There is a distinct lack of PCI-capable facilities in Nigeria. There needs to be an investment from the government and stakeholders in Nigeria to increase the access to PCI, given the paradigm shift from communicable to noncommunicable diseases.PMID:38407285 | DOI:10.5830/CVJA-2022-041 (Source: Cardiovascular Journal of Africa)

Oxygen inhalation decreases the central venous pressure in adult patients late after Fontan operations
CONCLUSIONS: Oxygen inhalation increased SaO2 and decreased CVP, especially in patients with high baseline CVP. Further studies with home oxygen therapy are needed to investigate the long-term effects of oxygen inhalation in adult patients who underwent Fontan operations.PMID:38401702 | DOI:10.1016/j.jjcc.2024.02.010 (Source: Journal of Cardiology)
