ICU experience of the Respiratory Syncytial Virus Season after 2 years into the COVID-19 pandemic in a single instituition
Conclusion: NPI measure prevented other virusses from being spread. In 2021, the RSV-season was delayed to November, possibly due to lockdown measures. 2022, saw an increase in numbers of patients being admitted to the hospital, and a greater number of admissions to ICU, with more severe disease, requiring longer stays in ICU, and higher mode of ventilation. Impact of COVID-19 on Childhood Asthma and Wheezing Disorders: Rebound Risk for Rhinovirus Infections
Conclusions: RV was transmitted more efficiently during the COVID-19 pandemic in children hospitalized with wheezing disorders than other respiratory viruses. Our results indicate a rebound risk of RV infections after easing of the COVID-19 restrictions, highlighting the need for continued surveillance of common respiratory viruses. Evaluating physiotherapy interventions for infants with bronchiolitis - a survey study
Conclusions: The physiotherapists reported to use diverse outcome measures for evaluation of their interventions. To a large degree, however, they used subjective measures, which depend on the individual clinician’s interpretation. Asthmatic children with an early wheezing: A distinct phenotype?
Conclusion: According to our study, asthmatic children with a history of acute bronchiolitis have an earlier age at symptoms onset with a less probability of allergic asthma and a higher risk of exacerbations. Successful Management of Retropharyngeal Lymphangioma with Stridor Using Sirolimus: A Case Report
We report a case of a five-month-old boy diagnosed with retropharyngeal LMs. He presented with a three-day history of fever, cough, and stridor and was initially treated for acute bronchiolitis.
