Anesthesiology to Allergy?
Current M3, considering anesthesia. I have a hunch I know the answer to this question, but just thought I'd confirm: Is it possible to have a practice geared towards Allergy/Pulm medicine after completing a CCM fellowship post-residency? I realize this is largely in the realm of IM, but was wondering if anyone has anecdotal examples. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Least sad pediatric subspecialties?
So I'm thinking of what shadowing to try my M2 year and what types of electives I might want to do later. I really love the happy atmosphere of peds primary care except for the anti-vaxxers and sometimes endless ear infections/URIs. For subspecialties, I've only been exposed to areas of neuro and onc. What are some non-surgical subspecialties that are a more positive, ideally longitudinal environment where most of the kids have a good chance at living a normal life? How are Allergy/immuno or... No auditions/away rotations for IM and doing only electives 4th year?
Hey all, current 3rd year- soon to be 4th year. Im planning on going into internal medicine, and our current IM chair recommends that we do 5-6 audition rotations. I've heard mixed opinions on this and was thinking about foregoing them and pursuing elective rotations in different IM subspecialties (allergy, rheum, etc.) instead. I am a pretty average applicant (mid 220s step 1, 600 level 1, mostly passes). What do you guys think? I'm planning to apply pretty broadly. (Source: Student Doctor Network)

The problem extends beyond MRSA and Clostridium difficile , and stewardship should still be followed in the presence or absence of penicillin allergy.
