The Effects of Jabara Juice on the Intestinal Permeation of Fexofenadine
In this study, we investigated the effects of jabara juice on the intestinal absorption of fexofenadine in mice and the inhibitory effects of jabara juice and narirutin on the permeation of fexofenadine using Caco-2 cell monolayers and LLC-GA5-COL300 cell monolayers. In the in vivo study, the area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) of fexofenadine in mice was increased 1.8-fold by jabara juice. In the permeation study, 5% jabara juice significantly decreased the efflux ratio (ER) of fexofenadine for Caco-2 monolayers. Furthermore, the ERs of fexofenadine and digoxin, which is a typical substrate of P-glycoprot...

Multiple Myeloma in 2023 Ways: From Trials to Real Life
Curr Oncol. 2023 Nov 3;30(11):9710-9733. doi: 10.3390/curroncol30110705.ABSTRACTMultiple myeloma is a chronic hematologic malignancy that obstinately tends to relapse. Basic research has made giant strides in better characterizing the molecular mechanisms of the disease. The results have led to the manufacturing of new, revolutionary drugs which have been widely tested in clinical trials. These drugs have been approved and are now part of the therapeutic armamentarium. As a consequence, it is essential to combine what we know from clinical trials with real-world data in order to improve therapeutic strategies. Starting wit...
