Transtheoretical Model for Exercise: Measure Redevelopment and Assessing the Role of Barriers in a Diverse Population
CONCLUSION: This study produced systematically developed TTM exercise measures for Black and Hispanic/Latinx adults in the US that address and incorporate important barriers to exercise. This research represents an important step forward in broadening the inclusion of diverse populations to TTM measure development processes and may lead to a better understanding of relevant factors impeding exercise engagement in the US.PMID:37955178 | DOI:10.1177/08901171231213692 (Source: American Journal of Health Promotion : AJHP)

Crossmodal interference on counting performance: Evidence for shared attentional resources
by Claudia Del Gatto, Allegra Indraccolo, Tiziana Pedale, Riccardo Brunetti During the act of counting, our perceptual system may rely on information coming from different sensory channels. However, when the information coming from different sources is discordant, such as in the case of a de-synchronization between visual stimuli to be counted and irrelevant auditory stim uli, the performance in a sequential counting task might deteriorate. Such deterioration may originate from two different mechanisms, both linked to exogenous attention attracted by auditory stimuli. Indeed, exogenous auditory triggers may infiltrate our...
