SIBO Workshop: A 2-hour in-depth exploration of SIBO
Join us Wednesday evening, February 6th, at 8 pm EST/ 7 pm CST/6 pm MT/5 pm PT for my Undoctored SIBO Workshop: A 2-hour in-depth exploration of SIBO that I shall present via live video broadcast. The cost to attend is $55. (I will also be giving a SIBO Workshop for Undoctored Inner Circle members on Tuesday, February 5th at the same time slot.) An unprecedented number of people now have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, SIBO, an intestinal condition that has reached epidemic proportions. SIBO causes or worsens numerous health conditions such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. If you have any of these conditions or have diabetes (type 1 or 2), an autoimmune condition, unexplained skin rashes, food intolerances, or fatigue, SIBO is something you should be aware of and, if uncorrected, can lead to irreversible health problems such as diverticular disease and colon cancer—it is well worth identifying, then correcting. Problem: Because the science is so recent, the majority of doctors, even gastrointestinal specialists. remain in the dark about SIBO. But most people can take the reins on their own with impressive results. I will discuss why recognizing SIBO is so crucial for health, how to identify whether you or someone close to you has it, how to manage (even without the doctor involved), and how to prevent recurrences. We will end with a live interactive Q&A session. I will also discuss: Why formal te...
Conclusions: The constantly increasing prevalence of NAFLD in the general population can contribute to a growing role of NAFLD/NASH in HCC epidemiology. Moreover, some particular challenges specific for patients with liver steatosis may impede proper HCC diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. PMID: 31631714 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Conclusions: SIF + XRT caused changes in patterns of endothelial cell death and survival, proinflammatory molecule release, and adhesion molecule expression at early time points post-XRT associated with early reduction of immune cell recruitment. These findings suggest that SIF could mediate its radioprotective effects in irradiated lungs by limiting excessive immune cell homing via vascular endothelium into damaged lung tissue and curtailing the overall inflammatory response to radiation. CONCLUSIONS: Although consumption of a WPND was associated with a larger estimated GV in this pilot study, a larger study is necessary to conclude whether patients must fast longer than 2 hours after consumption of a WPND. PMID: 31630511 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
CONCLUSIONS: In elderly individuals with T1DM, we found associations between dLOC and cognition overall and in men but not women. Underlying sex differences should be considered in future research or interventions on psychosocial characteristics for cognition. PMID: 31633555 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Conclusion: The presentation of PPCRA has been sporadic in the majority of cases. Inflammatory and hereditary origins have been anecdotally cited. Our young patient showed concurrent presentation of inflammatory and hereditary origin of PPCRA. We suggest that a careful investigation of systemic inflammation should be done in children with suggestive extraocular symptoms in the setting of PPCRA. We report a case of a child with congenital NDI. PMID: 31630706 [PubMed - in process]
This study aimed to evaluate immunohistochemical expression of cyclin D1 and PSA in breast carcinoma and their relation to prognosis. It includes 79 specimens of breast invasive duct carcinoma. Overall survival time was available for all patients. There is a statistically significant association between positive PSA expression and lower tumor stage, nodal stage and tumor grade and between negative PSA expression and presence of metastasis (P value = .05, 0.01, 0.03 and 0.011, respectively). There is a highly statistically significant association between low percentage of cyclin D1 expression (
Altered miRNA expression participates in the biological progress of thyroid carcinoma and functions as a diagnostic marker or therapeutic agent. However, the role of miR-7-2-3p is currently unclear. The authors' study was the first investigation of miR-7-2-3p expression level and diagnostic ability in several public databases. Potential target genes were obtained from DIANA Tools, and function enrichment analysis was then performed. Furthermore, the authors examined expression levels of potential targets in the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) and the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). Finally, the potential transcription factors (TFs) ...
This study shows the prediction power of association rule mining algorithm over the traditional classifier model without choosing a negative data set. The time complexity of the biclustering-based association rule mining is also analysed and compared to traditional association rule mining. The authors are able to discover 38 new PPIs which are not present in the cancer database. The biological relevance of these newly predicted interactions is analysed by published literature. Recognition of such interactions may accelerate a way of developing new drugs to prevent different cancer-related diseases.
