Exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells attenuate inflammation and demyelination of the central nervous system in EAE rats by regulating the polarization of microglia.

In conclusion, these findings indicate that BMSC-derived exosomes can attenuate inflammation and demyelination of the CNS in the EAE rat model by regulating the polarization of microglia. Therefore, the use of BMSC-derived exosomes may be a potential therapeutic approach for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. PMID: 30572251 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
