Higher Buprenorphine Dose May Improve Treatment Retention for Opioid Use Disorder
Patients who received a higher daily dose of buprenorphine (24 mg) were significantly more likely to remain in treatment over six months compared with those who received a lower dose (16 mg), according to astudy published this week inJAMA Network Open.“The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends a target dose of 16 mg for buprenorphine maintenance treatment, with an upper limit of 24 mg,” wrote Laura Chambers, Ph.D., M.P.H., of Brown University and colleagues. The authors noted that this recommendation was established prior to the emerge nce of fentanyl in the illicit drug supply. “Some physicians have suggested...

Investigating the effects of platform and mobility on mobility as a service (MaaS) users ’ service experience and behavioral intention: empirical evidence from MeNGo, Kaohsiung
AbstractDifferent from most existing studies in the literature, this study proposes and empirically examines an integrated model to understand user experience and behavior based on actual experiences with a real-world MaaS platform. Specifically, the relationships among perceived service features (i.e. platform and mobility services), perceived value, satisfaction, and behavioral intention of existing MaaS users were examined using a survey sample of 363 existing MaaS users in Taiwan. Results reveal that the most important variable explaining intention to use MaaS is mobility benefits derived from using MaaS, more so than ...

Few-shot defect recognition of metal surfaces via attention-embedding and self-supervised learning
AbstractVision-based defect recognition in the metal industry is an important and challenging task. Many mainstream methods based on supervised learning need a large amount of annotated defect data. However, the data acquisition in industrial scenarios is quite difficult and time-consuming. To alleviate the problem, in this paper, we propose a few-shot defect recognition (FSDR) method for metal surfaces by attention-embedding and self-supervised learning. The proposed method includes two stages,pre-training and meta learning. In the pre-training stage, an attention embedding network (AEN) is designed for better learning th...

Meta-FSDet: a meta-learning based detector for few-shot defects of photovoltaic modules
AbstractIn the initial stage of the establishment of photovoltaic (PV) module production lines or the upgrading of production processes, the available data for some defects are limited. The detection for these data-scarce defects of photovoltaic (PV) modules is a challenging task, because most detectors hardly extract meaningful high-level features from limited information of several samples. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a novel end-to-end meta-learning based few-shot detector (Meta-FSDet). Firstly, a prototype vector extractor (PVE) is proposed, which utilizes locational prior knowledge of data-scarce de...
