Medicare Physician Fee Schedule —Reply
In Reply Dr Resneck, Dr Blankenship and colleagues, and Dr Chiodo and colleagues incorrectly interpret our Viewpoint as an attack on physicians ’ integrity. We were noting that the AMA RUC review, at the heart of the MPFS, is inherently unethical because it necessarily rests on a conflict of interest that can influence physicians’ behavior and judgments—and that it may in fact induce some physicians to compromise their integrity by pr oducing distorted work descriptions and time estimates, as is the case for freezing warts and actinic keratoses or interpreting electrocardiograms. Efficacy and safety of Erbium-YAG laser ablation therapy in superficial dermatoses: The workhorse of dermatology
Conclusion: This study suggested that erbium-YAG ablation achieved good results for superficial lesions like verruca plana, seborrheic keratosis, xanthelasma palpebrarum, plantar wart, sebaceous hyperplasia and acquired melanocytic nevus. Thus, Er: YAG laser can offer a one-step procedure with better cosmetic results and a lesser rate of recurrence. (Source: Indian Journal of Dermatology)

Prevalence of high-grade anal intraepithelial neoplasia in immunocompetent women treated for high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia
CONCLUSIONS: Women with a history of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia have an intermediate risk of developing high-grade anal intraepithelial neoplasia. Sexually Transmitted Infection Risks and Symptoms Heightened Among Female Sex Workers who Started Selling Sex Before the Age of 18 in Five Cities in Cameroon
In this study, a Adult female sex workers (FSW) recruited through respondent-driven sampling in five cities in Cameroon from December 2015 to October 2016 completed a questionnaire and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and syphilis testing. Multivariable logistic regression analysis controlling for age was used to identify factors associated with reporting selling sex before age 18. Selling sex before age 18 was reported by 11.5% (256/2,220) of FSW. Initiation of selling sex as an adolescent was positively associated with experiencing dysuria (adjusted odds ratio [aOR]:1.50, 95% confidence interval [CI]:1.08 –2.10) or g...

An Atypical Incontinentia Pigmenti Female with Persistent Mucocutaneous Hyperinflammation and Immunodeficiency Caused by a Novel Germline IKBKG Missense Mutation
In this study, we described an atypical IP case in a 19-year-old girl, characterized by hyperpigmented and verrucous skin areas over the entire body. Remarkably, she experienced recurrent red papules whenever she ha d a feverish upper respiratory tract infection. Immunohistochemical staining unveiled a substantial accumulation of CD68+ macrophages alongside the TNF- α positive cells in the dermis tissue of new pustules, with increased apoptotic basal keratinocytes in the epidermis tissue of these lesions. Starting from the age of 8 years old, the patient suffered from severe and sustained chronic respiratory mucous...
