Carcinoma vulva: Ten years experience in a teaching institution of North India
CONCLUSION: Tumour stage, nodal positivity and nodal ECS were poor prognostic factors. Radical surgery-extensive groin node dissection causes significant morbidity; hence, studies evaluating the role of neoadjuvant treatment are needed so as to modify current treatment practices. HPV vaccination as a preventive measure and a thorough and extensive evaluation of patients with suspicious signs in vulvar disease is needed.PMID:37312782 | PMC:PMC10259558 | DOI:10.4103/jfmpc.jfmpc_1731_22 (Source: Primary Care)

Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 3079: Safety and Feasibility of Vulvar Cancer Treatment with Electrochemotherapy
aja Cemazar Electrochemotherapy is a local ablative therapy used for the treatment of various superficial and deep-seated tumors. Electrochemotherapy involves the application of electric pulses locally to tumors to destabilize cell membranes and facilitate the entry of cytotoxic drugs, thereby enhancing their cytotoxicity locally. The aim of our study is to investigate the safety and feasibility of electrochemotherapy in patients with vulvar cancer recurrence used for nonpalliative purposes. Ten patients with single local vulvar cancer recurrence were treated with intravenous bleomycin, followed by a local application ...

Detection of sentinel lymph node in vulvar cancer using 99mTc-labeled colloid lymphoscintigraphy, blue dye, and indocyanine-green fluorescence: a meta-analysis of studies published in 2010 –2020
ConclusionsThis meta-analysis favors the use of ICG and PL alone and in combination over blue dye for the identification of the SLN in vulvar cancer. Future studies may investigate whether the combined approach allows the highest DR of SLN in patients with vulvar cancer. (Source: Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics)

Epidemiology of vulvar cancer in Croatia
CONCLUSION: In the studied period, the incidence of invasive vulvar cancer in Croatia was stable. Age-standardized rates (for all-ages, under 60, and over 60 years of age) increased, but the increase did not reach the level of statistical significance. The pattern in younger and older age groups was the same. The mortality rates over the last decade were stable.PMID:37131312 (Source: Croatian Medical Journal)
