A prospective study to assess histologic changes on vulvar biopsies in postmenopausal women with lichen sclerosus treated with fractionated co2 laser therapy
To investigate the histologic characteristics of vulvar tissuefs before and after Fractionated CO2-laser (FxCO2 laser) therapy for vulvar lichen sclerosus (LS). The secondary objective was to assess subjective improvement in symptoms via the Skindex-16 questionnaire. (Source: American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology)

Fluorescein Mapping in Vulvar Paget Disease
CONCLUSION: We report a technique for the injection of fluorescein sodium for the visualization of vulvar Paget disease capable of providing accurate surgical margins and identification of occult satellite lesions with a high degree of safety and a favorable cost profile. This staged approach to vulvectomy could offer improved accuracy of resection for vulvar Paget disease with few drawbacks.PMID:36735397 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005084 (Source: Obstetrics and Gynecology)

Cancers, Vol. 15, Pages 831: Groin Surveillance by Serial Ultrasonography Rather Than Sentinel Node Biopsy or Inguinofemoral Lymphadenectomy for Patients with Vulvar Cancer: A Pilot Study
as Obermair A pilot study was conducted to determine whether 3-monthly groin ultrasonography could eliminate groin dissection after a negative bilateral groin ultrasound in three groups of patients: (i) Those with a unifocal stage 1B squamous cell carcinoma of up to 20 mm in diameter. (ii) Those with an ipsilateral squamous cell carcinoma of any size which extended to within 1 cm either side of the midline. These patients underwent ipsilateral inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy and ultrasonic surveillance of the contralateral groin. (iii) Patients with multifocal invasive lesions with the largest individual focus 20 mm or ...

Lymphatic mapping and sentinel node biopsy in vulvar melanoma: the first multicenter study and systematic review
CONCLUSIONS: The use of preoperative lymphatic mapping followed by SNB permits a precise and minimally invasive surgical approach in cN0 vulvar melanoma patients. Negative SNB is associated with low risk of groin relapse and good survival.PMID:36696819 | DOI:10.1016/j.ygyno.2023.01.011 (Source: Gynecologic Oncology)
