Dual site reactivity of indole-3-Schiff bases with S/Se/Cl substituted ketenes for stereoselective C-4 substituted indole- β-lactams, biological evaluations, magic chloro effect and molecular docking studies
Bioorg Chem. 2024 Apr 14;147:107337. doi: 10.1016/j.bioorg.2024.107337. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTA convenient methodology for C-4 indole-β-lactam hybrids with chloro, sulphur and seleno substitutions through dual site reactivity of indole-3-Schiff bases towards ketenes has been developed. The reaction proceeded in a stereospecific manner with the exclusive formation of trans-β-lactams assigned with respect to C3-H and C4-H. The synthesized novel β-lactams have been characterized with the help of elemental analysis (CHNS) and spectroscopic techniques viz.1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT 135, HSQC and IR. The trans configuratio...

Cutaneous Warts Treated with Individualised Homoeopathic Medicine: A Case Series
Homœopathic Links 2024; 37: 082-093 DOI: 10.1055/s-0043-1778681Cutaneous warts are visible growths on the skin caused by infection of keratinocytes caused by the human papilloma virus. They appear in various forms on different locations on the skin and mucous membranes, the most common being hands, feet, face and neck. Despite the availability of various treatments, its persistent and recurring nature remains a matter of frustration among the medical fraternity. This case series includes eight cutaneous warts cases treated with an individualistic approach. Each case was prescribed a single medicine as per the cardinal pri...

An analytical comparison of two versions (US EPA and BIS) of pararosaniline method used for monitoring of ambient SO2
This study presents a comprehensive examination of the operational aspects of two versions of pararosaniline method employed for measuring SO2 in ambient air. The results indicate a need for redefining the specifications outlined in the BIS method. Notably, the BIS method displays greater sensitivity to low blank values compared to the EPA method. Additionally, the study introduces, for the first time, working factors and specifications associated with the BIS method for SO2 measurement. These findings suggest their potential inclusion in the standard method as a means to enhance data quality and reliability in the assessm...

From Ln2O2S to Ln10OS14: Exploring the sulphur spectrum of trivalent lanthanoid oxysulphides
Dalton Trans., 2024, Accepted Manuscript DOI: 10.1039/D4DT00294F, FrontierBrian Alan Wuille Bille, Jes ús M. Velázquez While Ln2O2S oxysulphides have increasingly gained attention for their structural and optoelectronic properties, an expansive compositional space lies beyond as the sulphur-to-oxygen ratio increases. In these oxysulphides, the compounded effect... The content of this RSS Feed (c) The Royal Society of Chemistry (Source: RSC - Dalton Trans. latest articles)

Relationship between concentration of air pollutants and frequency of hospitalisations due to respiratory diseases
CONCLUSIONS: The results indicate that air pollution can be a significant modifiable risk factor for exacerbations of respiratory diseases and therefore its avoidance plays an important role in primary prevention.PMID:38549472 | DOI:10.26444/aaem/169486 (Source: Annals of Agricultural and Environmental Medicine : AAEM)
