Factors Associated with Antiretroviral Therapy Adherence Among a Community-Based Sample of Sexual Minority Older Adults with HIV
This study utilized a stochastic search variable selection (SVSS) approach to explore potential psychosocial and structural factors associated with HIV-related health outcomes among a community-based sample of older sexual minorities (N = 150) in South Florida, an U.S. HIV-epidemic epicenter. Telehealth as an Effective Care Delivery Method During the COVID-19 Pandemic for the Rhode Island Behavioral Health Population
This study investigated (1) if telehealth allowed for patients who seek mental health services to maintain visit frequency and (2) if subpopulations were less likely to utilize telehealth. We used descriptive statistics to analyze the change in total number of visits, in-person visits from pre-waiver to post-waiver, and a multivariate linear regression to identify relationships between demographics and telehealth utilization. Barriers and facilitators to implementing advanced HIV disease screening at a secondary referral hospital -Malawi: a convergent parallel study
CONCLUSION: The study has identified major contextual barriers to AHD screening including knowledge gap, poor communication systems and inadequate supporting resources. HIV viral load suppression among people with mental disorders at two urban HIV clinics in Uganda: a parallel convergent mixed methods study using the social ecological model
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: HIV VLS among PLHIV with mental disorders at institutions that provide integrated HIV and mental health care is still below the UNAIDS 95% target. Amino acid metabolism dysregulation associated with inflammation and insulin resistance in HIV-infected individuals with metabolic disorders
In this study, we performed targeted metabolomic analyses on 64 patients with HIV/AIDS and 21 healthy controls. Twenty-four amino acids and selected intermediate metabolites in the serum were quantitatively detected using high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, and characteristic changes and metabolic pathways were analyzed in HIV-infected patients with different degrees of abnormal glucose and lipid metabolism.
