Case Report: Brain Metastasis Confined to the Infarcted Area Following Stroke
Conclusions: Cerebral infarctions can cause neovascularization and disruption of the blood–brain barrier. Moreover, the compartmentalized cavity formed by the ischemic injury may accept a large volume of metastatic tumor cells. Such an altered microenvironment of infarcted tissue would be suitable for the colonization and proliferation of metastatic seed. Further, brain metastases should be considered, in addition to recurrence, when new focal neurological deficits develop in patients with ischemic stroke and comorbid cancer.

Delayed radiation-induced stroke mimics recurrent tumor in and adolescent with remote history of low-grade brainstem glioma
A 13-year-old female was diagnosed with a ponto- medullary brainstem glioma and following unsuccessful treatment with chemotherapy, underwent focal photon intensity modulated radiation therapy that resulted in a favorable response. Ten years later, the patient presented with acute onset left-sided hemiplegia and headaches. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at presentation showed a large contrast- enhancing lesion with surrounding vasogenic edema and reduced diffusivity on diffusion- weighted imaging most concerning for a high grade secondary malignancy (Figure 1).

A Case of Posterior Circulation Ischemic Stroke Caused by Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia after Detaining Hepatic Arterial Infusion Catheter
In Japan, hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) using reservoir system is recommended for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) whose hepatic spare ability is favorable. Arterial infusion catheter is commonly detained in hepatic artery via femoral or brachial artery. In our hospital, catheter is often inserted by puncturing the left subclavian or brachial artery considering the patient's activities of daily living (ADL) during long-term detaining. However, it rarely causes posterior circulation ischemic stroke because of the left vertebral artery branches on the path of catheter.

Nivolumab-induced posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome
A 47-year-old woman with metastatic, poorly differentiated lung cancer with neuroendocrine features was brought to the hospital after 4 days of nausea, vomiting, disorientation, and 1 generalized tonic clonic seizure. Capecitabine-induced acute toxic leukoencephalopathy.
Abstract A 45-year-old woman was treated by Capecitabine (Xeloda(®)) during 6days for breast cancer with metastatic bone lesions when she presented with nausea, headaches, muscle cramps, dysarthria and swallowing disorders. Stroke like migraine attacks after radiation therapy (SMART) syndrome a case series of three patients (P6.179)

Neurologic manifestations of geriatric patients with cancer (P6.188)
Conclusions:Neurologic manifestations are reported in about 40% of patients with cancer, approximately half of living patients with cancer are over 65 years of age, this increase merits the medical and related personnel to be prepared and recognize, diagnose and treat this highly morbid conditions. Stroke-like migraine attacks in long term survivors of high grade glioma. (P1.174)

Acute Ischemic Stroke as a Presenting Feature of Multiple Myeloma (P3.279)
Conclusions:Stroke is a leading and preventable cause of disability in the US adult population. The majority of strokes are due to atherosclerotic vascular or cardioembolic disease. Understanding the diagnostic work up of stroke and recognizing rare etiologies like MM is important for stroke prevention.
