Obesity and cardiovascular risk in an oncology day ward population
ConclusionsWe observed similar or lower rates of obesity and CV risk factors in this cohort compared to the general adult Irish population. The average predicted risk of developing CV disease in this grp was moderate to high. This can have significant future implications with regard to cancer survivorship, disease recurrence and suitability for further oncological treatments.

Medical Conditions Among Survivors of Adolescent and Young Adult Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL), Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)
Conclusion: This study found that sociodemographic factors were associated with the risk of developing medical conditions in AYA NHL, ALL and AML survivors. As expected, the risk of medical conditions varied by cancer type and treatment, with those undergoing SCT having a higher risk of medical conditions regardless of cancer type. NHL and ALL survivors who were uninsured or publicly insured were at a consistently higher risk of developing medical conditions, as were Hispanic ALL survivors and Black AML survivors. New-Onset Cardiovascular Morbidity in Older Adults With Stage I to III Colorectal Cancer.
Conclusion Older patients with colorectal cancer are at increased risk of developing CVD and CHF. Diabetes and hypertension interact with chemotherapy to increase the risk of cardiovascular morbidity. Future studies should assess the potential for personalized therapeutic options for those with preexisting morbidities and for structured monitoring for patients with a history of exposure to chemotherapy regimens, as well as explore the management of preexisting comorbidities to address long-term cardiovascular morbidity.

Predictors of venous thromboembolism recurrence and the bleeding events identified using a Japanese healthcare database.
CONCLUSIONS: These findings obtained from healthcare database suggest predictors either for recurrent VTE and bleeding that should be considered when selecting treatment to reduce the risk of recurrent VTE and mitigate bleeding.

The effect of on body composition: A double blind randomized placebo-controlled trial among Iranian postmenopausal women
This study aimed to investigate whether Black cumin powder exerts beneficial effects on body composition among postmenopausal women. In this randomized, double blind, placebo controlled trial 61 menopausal women aged 45–65 years (at least one year after amenorrhea history) who living in Yasuj were recruited. They should not have history of induced menopause following chemotherapy, radiotherapy or surgery; diagnosed cancers; take hormones or anti hypertensive, antihyperlipidemic or diabetic drugs; history of uncontrolled hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke or have undiagnosed malignancies.
