Predictors of mortality and cardiovascular outcomes in Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy in a long-term follow-up
CONCLUSIONS: LMNA mutation and higher NT-proBNP concentration were associated with increased mortality in EDMD. Lower TAPSE was a predictor of a composite secondary endpoint in EDMD.PMID:34783354 | DOI:10.33963/KP.a2021.0159

Characteristics and Prognosis of Stroke in Living Donor Renal Transplant Recipients
CONCLUSIONS: The underlying etiologies of stroke differed in RT and HD patients. The one-year risk of MACE for stroke patients who had received an RT was lower than that for patients undergoing HD and comparable with that of patients with no RRT.PMID:34776472 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63189

ST elevation myocardial infarction and kidney transplant: A large cohort study: STEMI and renal transplant
CONCLUSION: STEMI is not an uncommon complication among KTR and is associated with significant mechanical complications. Improvement in cardiovascular risk factors might improve the STEMI rates among KTR.PMID:34565688 | DOI:10.1016/j.jjcc.2021.09.006

Peripheral microvascular dysfunction is associated with plaque progression and adverse long ‐term outcomes in heart transplant patients
ConclusionsPeripheral endothelial dysfunction is associated with increased plaque progression and adverse long-term cardiovascular outcomes in transplant patients. PED assessment might be a useful clinical tool for risk stratification after heart transplantation.
