Conclusion: Our patient had no significant change in mPAP facing oxygen-induced decrease in PVR. Instead, there was a marked increase in RV CO explainable only by an increase in RV SV facing decreased RV afterload, as HR decreased with oxygen. These findings are consistent with the patient’s class 1 exercise capacity despite having severe PH, indicating an ability to increase CO with activity and suggesting a positive response to medications and better prognosis. Inotropic myocardial reserve deficiency is the predominant feature of exercise haemodynamics in cardiac amyloidosis
ConclusionsCardiac amyloid deposits are associated with severely reduced inotropic myocardial reserve and increased left and right ventricular filling pressures during exercise. Furthermore, CA subjects have severely reduced PAC, which may contribute to right heart failure and reduced exercise capacity.

Prediction of adverse events after catheter-based procedures in adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease in the IMPACT registry

Conclusion: There were greater procedural complications when performed post-call compared to no post-call; however, when adjusting for significant baseline variables, there was no significant difference seen between groups. Taking into consideration factors that contributed to procedural complications most likely will improve patient outcomes.

Effect of Milrinone Infusion on Pulmonary Vasculature and Stroke Work Indices: A Single-Center Retrospective Analysis in 69 Patients Awaiting Cardiac Transplantation
ConclusionMilrinone improved left ventricular stroke work indices to a greater extent than right ventricular stroke work indices and had beneficial effects on right ventricular net input impedance, predominantly via augmentation of left ventricular stroke volume and passive unloading of the pulmonary circuit. Patients who had the worst biventricular performance benefited the most from chronic milrinone infusion.

Impact of Homocysteine Level on Long-term Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients after Coronary Artery Stenting.
CONCLUSIONS: Elevated HCY level (≥12 µmol/L) was independently associated with increased risk of long-term cardiovascular events in patients after coronary artery bare metal stents implantations. Neurological Events Following Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Their Predictors: A Report From the CoreValve Trials Structural Heart Disease
Conclusions— Predictors of early stroke after TAVR included clinical and procedural factors; predictors of later stroke were limited to patient but not anatomic characteristics. These findings indicate that further refinement of imaging to identify anatomic factors predisposing to embolization may help improve stroke prediction in patients undergoing TAVR.
