Case report: Two unique nonsense mutations in HTRA1-related cerebral small vessel disease in a Chinese population and literature review
ConclusionThis case report expands the clinical, radiographic, and genetic spectrum of HTRA1-CSVD. Attention should be paid to young patients with ischemic stroke as the first clinical manifestation. Genetic screening for such sporadic CSVD is recommended, even if the symptoms are atypical.

A heterozygous mutation in NOTCH3 in a Chinese family with CADASIL
Conclusion: We identified a known CADASIL-causing mutation NOTCH3 (c.397C>T, p.Arg133Cys) in a Chinese family. The clinical manifestations of mutation carriers in this family are highly heterogeneous, which is likely a common feature for the etiology of different mutations in CADASIL. Molecular genetic analyses are critical for accurate diagnosis, as well as the provision of genetic counselling for CADASIL.

ConclusionsCARASAL should be considered in patients with early onset or severe cerebral small vessel disease, particularly where there are prominent symptoms or signs related to brainstem involvement, such as hearing dysfunction, tinnitus or dysphagia or where there is significant thalamic and brainstem involvement on imaging.

Artery of Percheron Occlusion in China: A Case Report and Chinese Literature Review
Conclusion: Our report suggests that unusual mood disorder and language disorder of aged patients might indicate the AOP occlusion, and cerebral imaging of magnetic resonance imaging (better with magnetic resonance angiography) should be performed to establish the diagnosis of AOP occlusion.
