Genetic deletion of calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase kinase ß (CaMKK ß) or CaMK IV exacerbates stroke outcomes in ovariectomized (OVXed) female mice
Conclusions: Inhibition of CaMKK signaling exacerbated stroke outcome and increased BBB impairment, transcriptional inactivation and inflammatory responses in females after stroke. Therefore, CaMKK signaling may be a potential target for stroke treatment in both males and females.

We describe the patient, stroke, and flight characteristics. Over the study period, 131 million passengers arrived at Melbourne airport. Our centre admitted 5727 stroke patients, of whom 42 (0.73%) had flight-related strokes. Flight-related stroke patients were younger (median age 65 versus 73, p<0.001), had similar stroke severity, and received intravenous thrombolysis more often than non-flight-related stroke patients. Alterations in Muscle Networks in the Upper Extremity of Chronic Stroke Survivors
This study represents the first effort, to the best of our knowledge, to assess stroke-linked alterations in functional intermuscular connectivity using muscle network analysis. The findings revealed a pattern of alterations to muscle networks in stroke survivors compared to healthy controls, as a result of the loss of brain function associated with the stroke.
