Level of motor, sensory and functional impairment from stroke at admission and hospital discharge in Brazil.
Conclusions: Clinical severity was softened along the hospitalization period. The clinical, motor, sensory and functional characterization enlarges the understanding of the stroke sequelae, besides monitoring the deficits and the level of disability in this population in Brazil.

Translation into Brazilian Portuguese, cross-cultural adaptation, reliability and validation of the Functional Ambulation Classification for the categorization of ambulation following a stroke in a clinical setting.
CONCLUSION: The translation, cross-cultural adaptation and measurement properties demonstrated that the FAC is a valid, reliable clinical measure for the categorization of ambulation in the Brazilian population of stroke survivors in a clinical setting.

Acute ischemic stroke and COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil: a comparative study of frequency and risk factors before and during SARS-CoV-2 era
ConclusionsHospital admissions for AIS decreased in the COVID-19 pandemic, mostly during months of higher incidences of new COVID-19 cases. When the incidence of admissions diminished, an increase in the severity of AIS was observed, characterized by larger areas. These findings might contribute to other similar referral centers in managing public policies related to stroke.

Improving door-to-reperfusion time in acute ischemic stroke during the COVID-19 pandemic: experience from a public comprehensive stroke center in Brazil
ConclusionAcute stroke care continued to be a priority despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The implementation of a thrombolytic bolus and the start of continuous infusion on the CT scan table was the main factor that contributed to the reduction of DNT. Continuous monitoring of service times is essential for improving the quality of the stroke center and achieving better functional outcomes for patients.

Cross-cultural validity of the Brazilian version of the ABILHAND questionnaire for chronic stroke individuals, based on Rasch analysis.
CONCLUSION: The ABILHAND specific for stroke individuals demonstrated satisfactory measurement properties for use within both clinical and research contexts in Brazil, and cross-cultural validity for use in international/multicentric studies between Brazil, Belgium, and Italy.
