I just got back from the North Dakota Mission: Lifeline STEMI and Acute Stroke Conference in Bismark, ND. I had a great time and I learned a lot. Imaging Negative Stroke: Diagnoses and Outcomes in Intravenous Tissue Plasminogen Activator–Treated Patients
Conclusions: Because most INS patients were found to have NNCI, which may represent either transient ischemic attack or aborted stroke, and there were no intracerebral hemorrhages in the INS group, our data support the safety of administering IV t-PA to all patients in whom acute ischemic stroke is clinically suspected. We have demonstrated that NNCI patients and stroke mimics are common, and future larger scale prospective studies are required to delineate the true frequencies of each and to evaluate differences in outcomes.

CD133+Exosome Treatment Improves Cardiac Function after Stroke in Type 2 Diabetic Mice
In this study, we tested whether treatment with exosomes harvested from human umbilical cord blood derived CD133+ cells (CD133+Exo) improves cardiac function in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) stroke mice. We investigated cause-specific mortality in relation to age, sex, stroke severity, and cardiovascular risk factor profile in the Copenhagen Stroke Study cohort with 10 years of follow-up. Risk factors for ischemic stroke and its subtypes in Chinese vs. Caucasians: Systematic review and meta‐analysis
ConclusionOur study showed a lower prevalence of atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease and hypercholesterolemia in Chinese, and mostly similar risk factor associations in Chinese and Caucasian ischemic stroke patients. Further analyses of individual patient data to allow adjustment for confounders are needed to confirm and extend these findings.

Predictive value of ABCD2 and ABCD3-I scores in TIA and minor stroke in the stroke unit setting
Conclusions: Standard ABCD2 and ABCD3-I scores are useful instruments to estimate the probability of early and 3-month stroke in TIA and minor stroke patients treated at specialized stroke units, with C, D, and I being the most important score components in this setting.
