Oral Anticoagulation and the Incidence of Stroke Associated with Atrial Fibrillation in Mainland Portugal: A Modelling Study
CONCLUSION: The use of oral anticoagulation was associated with a reduced incidence of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation in mainland Portugal. "A proof of life" through transition from hospital to home after a stroke in a Portuguese setting - a multi-perspective, longitudinal qualitative study
CONCLUSIONS: Findings show that the manner in which changes after a stroke are approached may be positively transformed to provide strength. Translation into Brazilian Portuguese, cross-cultural adaptation, reliability and validation of the Functional Ambulation Classification for the categorization of ambulation following a stroke in a clinical setting.
CONCLUSION: The translation, cross-cultural adaptation and measurement properties demonstrated that the FAC is a valid, reliable clinical measure for the categorization of ambulation in the Brazilian population of stroke survivors in a clinical setting.

The water extract of tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum L.) red berries exerts antidepressive-like effects and in vivo antioxidant activity in a mouse model of post-stroke depression.
In this study, we assessed the beneficial role of the water extract of H. androsaemum red berries (WE) in an experimental animal model of post-stroke depression. WE was obtained by decoction of H. androsaemum red berries, and its content of ten bioactive compounds was determined through HPLC-DAD analysis. Behavioral tests were carried out using a mouse model of post stroke depression to examine the antidepressive-like activity of WE at two doses (15 and 30 mg/kg bw). OBJECTIVE: to identify in the scientific literature the educational technologies used in the health education process related to stroke.
METHOD: integrative review, whose eligibility criteria of the articles were: match the keywords "health education" and "stroke"; be a research paper; be in Portuguese, English and Spanish; be available electronically in the databases LILACS, PubMed/Medline, Scopus and CINAHL; year of publication between 2000 and 2016.
