One-year prognosis of non-traumatic cortical subarachnoid haemorrhage: a prospective series of 34 patients
ConclusionsThe most frequent causes of cSAH in our series were cerebral amyloid angiopathy, ischaemic stroke, and vasculitis. This type of haemorrhage has a worse prognosis than other non-aneurysmal cSAH. There are numerous possible causes, and prognosis depends on the aetiology. A nationally recommended practice to accelerate thrombolytic therapy for acute ischemic stroke is to route emergency medical services (EMS)-transported stroke patients directly to the computed tomography (CT) scanner on arrival. P13. Abstract Title: Deep Mutational Scan of VWF to Define Mutations that Enhance or Impair Secretion
Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) is a multimeric glycoprotein that recruits platelets to sites of blood vessel injury and serves as a molecular chaperone for coagulation factor VIII (fVIII). Plasma VWF levels are a known risk factor for various thrombotic disorders including VTE, myocardial infarction, and stroke. GWAS studies have identified genetic variants in VWF that contribute to increased and decreased circulating VWF antigen levels. However, it is currently not known why some variants result in high VWF levels while others cause low VWF levels in circulation.

Poor enhancement pattern of left atrial appendage in cardiac computed tomography is associated with stroke in persistent atrial fibrillation patients.

Dural Sinus Thrombosis with Nonsymptomatic Persistent Falcine Sinus: A Case Report
A 24-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital after convulsive status epilepticus. A cerebral magnetic resonance venography revealed a persistent fetal falcine sinus. Additionally, the posterior third of the superior sagittal sinus was hypoplastic and the abnormal deep venous drainage was accompanied. Thromboembolic infarction caused by an unknown patent foramen ovale 30  years after VA shunt insertion: a case report and review of the literature
ConclusionsThromboembolic events due to a PFO are rare but possible life-threatening complication after VA shunt insertion. Therefore, preoperative cardiac diagnostic might be clinically relevant prior to a VA shunt implantation to avoid such complications.
