Deep learning prediction of stroke thrombus red blood cell content from multiparametric MRI

Intravenous thrombolysis with tissue plasminogen activator is the only proven acute therapy for ischemic stroke. Stroke prevention following modified endoscopic ablation and appendectomy for atrial fibrillation

Midbrain and bilateral paramedian thalamic stroke due to artery of Percheron occlusion
Conclusion Bilateral thalamic stroke due to artery of Percheron occlusion is a rare presentation of stroke, which can be overlooked in routine CT scan. If diagnosed, it requires further evaluation for stroke risk factors, especially cardiovascular disorders associated with increased embolic risk.

Mobile Stroke Unit Reduces Time to Image Acquisition and Reporting INTERVENTIONAL
SUMMARY: Timely administration of thrombolytic therapy is critical to maximizing the likelihood of favorable outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Although emergency medical service activation overall improves the timeliness of acute stroke treatment, the time from emergency medical service dispatch to hospital arrival unavoidably decreases the timeliness of thrombolytic administration. Our mobile stroke unit, a new-generation ambulance with on-board CT scanning capability, reduces key imaging time metrics and facilitates in-the-field delivery of IV thrombolytic therapy.

Left ventricle cardiac myxoma as a cause of ischaemic stroke in young patient treated by mechanical thrombectomy.
We present a case of a young 21-year-old woman with no symptoms of dyspnoea who suddenly developed expressive aphasia and right-sided hemiparesis due to a thrombus in the left middle cerebral artery followed by the left anterior cerebral artery. She underwent acute mechanical thrombectomy with improvement of the neurological status. We describe hereafter the case of a 2-year-old female child who had a successful thrombectomy 9 h after stroke onset. The patient presented with right hemiplegia, central facial palsy, a normal level of consciousness, and speech difficulties. The PedNIHS score was 11.
