Application of visually based, computerised diagnostic decision support system in dermatological medical education: a pilot study
Conclusions This study demonstrated that VCDDSS increases diagnostic accuracy by 18.75%, which means we can avoid possible misdiagnosis, provide better treatment, and avoid waste of medical resources. The user satisfaction is high. We expect wider application of this kind of decision support system in clinical practice, medical education, residency training, and patient education in the future. Further large-scale studies should be planned to confirm its application.

The Report of the W. Montague Cobb /NMA Health Institute Consensus Panel on the Plight of Underrepresented Minorities in Medical Education.
Authors: Bright CM, Price MA, Morgan RC, Bailey RK Abstract Many programs have been designed to increase the number of minorities participating in medical education. Does Formal Training in Medical Education and Professional Development Lead to Better Career Outcomes for Clinician Educators?
CONCLUSIONS: Program graduates attributed their competence in several key domains that are crucial to excellence as a clinician-educator to their participation in the degree-granting program. The results of this study suggest that receipt of a graduate-level degree in medical education develops and enhances teaching skills and academic productivity among clinician-educators. Barriers and facilitators for implementation of a national recommended specialty core-curriculum across UK medical schools: a cross-sectional study using an online questionnaire
Conclusions This study identifies the potential barriers and facilitators to specialty specific core-curricular implementation across UK medical schools. Lack of standardised training in medical education, time and resources undermine the role of specialty teaching leads as medical educators. How the Suboxone Education Programme presented as a solution to risks in the Canadian opioid crisis: a critical discourse analysis
Conclusions Addressing risk is considered as a central, moral responsibility of contemporary healthcare services. In this case, moral imperatives to address opioid crisis-related risks overrode other ethical concerns regarding conflicts of interest between industry and public welfare. Failing to address these conflicts potentially imperils efforts of mitigating population health harms by propagating an important driving force of the opioid crisis.

Transitioning From Medical Educator to Scholarship in Medical Education.
Abstract Clinician educators spend most of their time in clinical practice, educating trainees in all types of care settings. Many are involved in formal teaching, curriculum development and learner assessment while holding educational leadership roles as well. Finding time to engage in scholarly work that can be presented and published is an academic expectation, but also a test of efficiency. Just as clinical research originates from problems related to patients, so should educational research originate from issues related to educating the next generation of doctors. Accrediting bodies challenge medical educator...
