Cervical cancer prevention in Australia: Planning for the future
The high rate of coverage that has been achieved to date by the Australian government's Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Program has already led to profound reductions in the prevalence of biopsy‐confirmed, high‐grade abnormalities and of vaccine‐preventable HPV types in Australia. Declines in the prevalence of vaccine preventable HPV have occurred not only in vaccinated women but also in unvaccinated women, suggesting a herd‐immunity affect. These declines were anticipated on the basis of modelling and were the major drivers for the changes proposed to the Australian National Cervical Screening Program. The ...

Print and online newspaper coverage of the link between HPV and oral cancer in the UK: a mixed-methods study
Conclusions The link between HPV and oral cancer and the transmission of HPV via oral sex was regularly discussed, yet coverage often lacked detailed health information. This could increase awareness of the link between oral sex and HPV risk, but may also lead to public concern about oral sex as a sexual behaviour.

Japanese Government Continues to Ban the MMR Vaccine
Conclusion Japanese officials have made decisions that value the health and safety of their citizens when they have removed vaccines with dangerous side effects from their national vaccination program. Japan boasts a low infant mortality rate, despite — or perhaps because of  — mandating only a fraction of the vaccines required by other developed countries, including the United States. If you wish to learn more about the harmful ingredients in vaccines or the potential adverse reactions, we have compiled an easy-to-navigate list of vaccine package inserts from the manufacturers that you can view or download he...

Is Bill Gates a Humanitarian, Villain or Misguided Man?
Conclusion The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has donated money to 100 countries and the United States with their stated objective to improve education and world health. Investor Warren Buffet is a primary contributor to the foundation. Some of the foundation’s programs target schools, farmers, and sanitation needs, all worthy causes. One of their primary programs, with significant funding, has included vaccination programs focused on developing countries. These vaccine initiatives have resulted in documented deaths and injuries for thousands of previously healthy children. Are Melinda and Bill Gates simply misguided ...

Knowledge and acceptance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and HPV vaccination in adolescent boys worldwide: a systematic review.
Conclusions Comparison and synthesis of research concerning HPV knowledge and attitudes was made difficult due to the lack of universal definition of vaccine acceptance, and no universally accepted tool for its measurement or for the measurement of HPV knowledge. It is imperative that future research utilises consistent measures of HPV knowledge and attitudes to facilitate interpretation and comparison across studies internationally. Prospective longitudinal studies would be more informative providing data on factors that influenced the move from vaccine intention to uptake.

Applying Multiple Data Collection Tools to Quantify Human Papillomavirus Vaccine Communication on Twitter
Conclusions: Examining social media to detect health trends, as well as to communicate important health information, is a growing area of research in public health. Understanding the content and implications of conversations that form around HPV vaccination on social media can aid health organizations and health-focused Twitter users in creating a meaningful exchange of ideas and in having a significant impact on vaccine uptake. This area of research is inherently interdisciplinary, and this study supports this movement by applying public health, health communication, and data science approaches to extend methodologies across fields.

Factors associated with parents ’ attitudes to the HPV vaccination of their adolescent sons
Conclusions HPV vaccine uptake among male adolescents is suboptimal. Future programs need to address the predictors of uptake by educating parents about the boys’ high susceptibility to infection, the benefits of vaccination, and reduce concerns regarding perceived barriers. Additionally, uptake may be facilitated by encouraging health care provider endorsement, particularly in countries without government-funded immunisation programs.

Effcacy of Human Papillomavirus L1 Protein Vaccines (Cervarix and Gardasil) in Reducing the Risk of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia: A Meta ‑analysis
This study aims to estimate the effcacy of L1 protein vaccines (Cervarix and Gardasil) in CIN 1, 2, 3 risk reduction using meta ‑analysis. Relevant articles were identifed by two independent researchers searching international databanks. After application of inclusion/exclusion criteria and quality assessment, eligible articles were entered into the fnal meta‑analysis. Inverse variance method and fxed effect model were u sed to combine the results of the primary studies. The heterogeneity between the results was assessed using Cochrane andI2indices. Of 11,530 evidence identifed during the primary search, three papers w...

Safety of Human Papillomavirus 9-Valent Vaccine: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials.
Authors: Costa APF, Cobucci RNO, da Silva JM, da Costa Lima PH, Giraldo PC, Gonçalves AK Abstract Vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) has been progressively implemented in most developed countries for approximately 10 years. In order to increase the protection of the vaccines, a 9-valent vaccine (HPV9) was developed, which provides protection against nine types of the virus. Studies evaluating its safety are rare. Thus, we performed a meta-analysis of three clinical trials assessing adverse effects on women randomly vaccinated with HPV9 or tetravalent vaccine (HPV4), with the objective of analyzing whet...
